BEESWIFT ACQUIRES LEADING CIRCULAR WORKWEAR MANUFACTURER PLAN B INTERNATIONAL LTD
Beeswift Ltd, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of high-quality workwear and PPE, is proud to announce the acquisition of Plan B International Ltd, a pioneer in circular textile innovation and sustainable workwear solutions.
This strategic acquisition reinforces Beeswift’s commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation, strengthening its position in the rapidly growing circular workwear market. The move comes after several years of successful collaboration between the two companies, most notably on Beeswift’s award-winning ENVIROWEAR® range.
Plan B has been at the forefront of circular garment design in the UK, working to develop truly recyclable workwear and championing sustainability in a traditionally waste-heavy industry. Plan B International will continue its collaboration with Project Re:claim the initiative, delivered in partnership with The Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL), enabling used workwear to be taken back and remanufactured, supporting a closed-loop system embraced by a growing number of forward-thinking businesses.
"Beeswift and Plan B International share a mutual vision for the future of workwear, one where sustainability, circularity, and innovation are the norm, not the exception," said Darren Washbourne, CEO of Beeswift. "This acquisition allows us to integrate Plan B’s cutting-edge circular design principles into our broader offering, accelerating our journey toward a more sustainable future."
"This is an exciting next chapter for Plan B International," added Tim Cross, former CEO of Plan B International. "By joining forces with Beeswift, we can scale our mission and bring circular workwear to even more organisations across the UK and beyond. It’s a partnership built on shared values and a joint ambition to drive real change."
With increasing legislative and commercial pressure to reduce environmental impact, Plan B International will sit within Beeswift’s newly created division, Beeswift Circular Solutions (BCS), which will lead the Group’s long-term strategy on circularity and low-impact product innovation. BCS will be directed by Andy Moulding, one of the original founders of Plan B who will remain with the business.
This is the second new division launched by Beeswift in 2025, following the introduction of Beeswift Vending Solutions (BVS) earlier in the year, reflecting the company’s ongoing investment in innovative and scalable solutions, in order to pro-actively support the forward-thinking sustainability goals of modern businesses.
